As the Senior Manager, HR Operations, you will play a critical role in supporting strategic HR initiatives, transforming workforce data into actionable insights, and driving operational excellence across the movement. Combining project management, analytics, systems expertise, and cross-functional collaboration, you will help inform strategic decisions that strengthen the employee experience and advance Hillel's mission.

In this highly visible role, you will partner closely with internal stakeholders and senior leaders to implement HR best practices, improve processes, and support key people operations initiatives across the Hillel movement. You'll support nearly 1,200 professionals across both the Hillel movement and the Schusterman International Center (SIC), Hillel International's headquarters in Washington, D.C.

This position is remote for eligible U.S.-based candidates, with a preference for candidates who can work hybrid (1-2 days/week) at our Washington, D.C. headquarters.

What You’ll Do

  • Support and closely partner with Senior Human Resources Business Partners in multiple cross-functional HR projects, including employee engagement initiatives, compliance, annual performance management and compensation planning, and ad-hoc organizational initiatives.
  • Create executive-level dashboards, reports, integrative data summaries and presentations for senior leadership, including the Senior Vice President of People Operations.
  • Analyze HR, recruiting, engagement, and workforce data to identify trends, provide recommendations, and tell a compelling data-driven story.
  • Own and maintain the Strategic HR project and communications tracker, ensuring all team initiatives and project plans are accurate, up to date, and functioning smoothly.
  • Serve as project manager for multiple, overlapping initiatives, ensuring accountability and workflow efficiency and keeping the SVP of People Operations fully informed with high-level visibility.
  • Improve HR systems and reporting tools, ensuring accurate data reconciliation, reporting, and process documentation.
  • Own leaves of absence administration and operations, with an emphasis on parental leaves, while maintaining current knowledge of federal and state paid family and medical leave laws and best practices.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on FLSA, overtime compliance, time reporting, and audits.
  • Coordinate professional development initiatives, employee requests and budget.
  • Collaborate with Payroll and Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Finance, Tech Services and other internal stakeholders to support talent focused initiatives and tasks.
  • Supervise the People Operations Coordinator, ensuring HR related data, dashboards, documentation, content and processes remain accurate and up to date.

What You've Accomplished

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 4-7 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, People/HR Operations, HR Analytics, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Experience managing complex, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience with HR systems such as Paycor or similar HRIS platforms and Greenhouse or similar ATS platforms
  • Supervision experience preferred.

Additional Skills:
