Salary Range: $45,000–$50,000 annually
Overview
- Hillel Community Day School seeks a warm, nurturing, and collaborative Lead Early Years Teacher to guide our IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) Early Years Learning Community serving children ages 3–5.
- This teacher will create a joyful, inquiry-based learning environment that supports play, social-emotional growth, independence, and academic readiness through a combination of whole-group experiences and differentiated small-group instruction. The teacher will work closely with Hebrew and Judaic Studies specialists, and school leadership to support the growth of every child.
Core Responsibilities
- Plan and facilitate inquiry-based, play-centered learning experiences aligned with the IB PYP.
- Support the developmental needs of children ages 3–5 through differentiated instruction and flexible grouping.
- Support social-emotional growth, self-regulation, communication, and peer relationships.
- Establish consistent routines and a safe, nurturing classroom environment.
- Promote independence and age-appropriate self-help skills.
Preferred background
- Degree in Early Childhood Education or full-time experience teaching Early Childhood
- Local candidates or willing to relocate to Rochester, NY
- Experience collaborating with teacher teams
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
