The Role at a Glance
Responsible for daily crew dispatch, job assignments, and coordination with the Local Planner. Oversees contract labor hiring, including background checks and drug tests. Monitors job progress, maintains reports, reviews quality and safety, and ensures compliance with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations. Manages rental truck check-ins/outs and addresses operational issues promptly.
How You’ll Contribute
You’ll take the lead in coordinating daily crew assignments and equipment, working closely with the Operations Manager to ensure smooth and efficient operations. From dispatching crews and cash labor each morning to monitoring their progress throughout the day, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining organized job coverage and resolving any issues that come up in real time.
You’ll also manage all aspects of contract labor, including recruitment, background checks, and drug testing. Your attention to detail will be essential as you maintain key operational reports such as the Situation Log, Truck Rental Report, and job tracking documents. In addition, you’ll be responsible for managing the check-in and check-out of rental trucks, making sure all issues are addressed and documented by day’s end.
A big part of your role involves reviewing performance and quality reports with service providers, offering constructive feedback to help improve service delivery. You'll also conduct random safety checks and make sure teams are following HOS regulations to support compliance and safety standards.
Monitoring departure and return times, you’ll look for ways to boost efficiency and reduce unnecessary overtime. With a mix of real-time coordination, personnel management, and reporting, this role calls for someone who’s organized, proactive, and ready to keep daily operations running at peak performance.

Functional Job Requirements
Must be able to regularly move around the office. Must be able to go back and forth between the office and the warehouse in varying temperatures. Must be able to physically check/inspect trucks. Must be able to regularly move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds around the office. Must also be able to operate a computer and process paperwork for an extended period of time. While this is a standard Monday to Friday role, you will be required to work one Saturday per month. Additional Saturdays may be required during the summer.
