Hillcrest Pharmacy & Compounding of Elkton was opened in 2017 with a Vision of providing individualized care to the residents of Elkton, and surrounding areas. We are an independent Pharmacy owned and operated by Woman who believes in providing individualized care to our Patients and Communities.
We are more than a Retail Pharmacy; we provide compounding, blister pack for long term care facilities and dis-pill services. We also carry large selection of OTC medications and vitamins. Consultation Services provided at no cost to our patients. Curbside pickup option, Public Notary Service are also available.
Our Pharmacists and Associates are trained to provide individualized service to our patients. You will always be greeted with a happy face and warmth in our Pharmacy.
Typical daily activities include, but are not limited to;
- Assist Pharmacist in Pharmacy Operations
- Manage a multi-line phone for incoming patient refills
- Directing inquiries to pharmacists as needed
- Ensure the safe handling of prescriptions and patient HIPAA information
- Receive prescriptions and check their validity
- Process prescriptions electronically and ensure all information is complete and accurate
- Resolve issues when they arise (e.g. rejected insurance claims)
- Create appropriate solutions for patients based on rejections
- Select the appropriate medicine and measure dosages to fill prescriptions
- Undertake administrative tasks (e.g. record-keeping) as assigned
- Verify patient information prior to the dispensing and billing of medication
- Deliver medications to Patients homes or at institutions
Required experience:
- Pharmacy Technician: 2 years
- Insurance Verification: 1 year
- Medical Terminology: 1 year
- Multi-Line Phone System: 1 year
- Customer Service: 1 year
- Compounding Prescriptions(desirable): 1 year
Pharmacy Hours Monday to Friday 9 am to 6 pm, Saturday 10 am to 2 pm, Sunday closed
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
