Explore Career Pathways for Pharmacy Professionals:
- Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of operational specialty practice areas (IV room, diversion/narcotics management, informatics, residency program director/coordinator, and others) within the pharmacy department and providing pharmaceutical care to patients as a staff pharmacist as needed.
- They will provide user support, perform maintenance activities and troubleshooting, monitor proper functionality,and ensure policies and procedures are developed, implemented,documented, and followed.
- The operations specialist coordinates upgrade testing activities, education,and serves as the subject matter expert for the operational specialty practice area.
- Coordinate and serve as a subject matter expert and provide training as needed for operational specialty practice areas.
- Must serve as the preceptor for pharmacy students or residents.
Job Requirements:
- B.S. or Pharm D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
- Clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting
- Completion of an accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency or fellowshipANDCompletion of an accredited PGY-2 Specialty Pharmacy Residency or fellowship (in an appropriate specialty field).
- ORCompletion of an accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy residency or fellowshipAND3 year's clinical pharmacy experience (if no PGY-2 is completed).
- OR 5 year's clinical pharmacy experience with no history of residency or fellowship.
- Active Pharmacist license in good standing with Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy.
- Other applicable state requirements - i.e. sterile compounding, etc.
- BLS certification.
- ALS/ACLS certification.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy.
- Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) certification (applicable to the specialty practice area) or other recognized nationally recognized training or certification (applicable to the specialty practice area).
