- Hillcrest Hospital Cushing is a 99-bed community-owned facility offering 24-hour emergency services, cardiology, general surgery, orthopedics, diagnostic imaging, withdrawal stabilization, wound care and urology.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care specific to the age of the patient through utilization of the nursing process and by leadership to provide direction to other nursing service personnel and by working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary health care team.
- Demonstrates the appropriate skills and ability, based on scope of practice, level of training and/or licensure, to assess, treat, and/or care for patients based on the age of the patient.
- Age groups may include the newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. (Varying levels of practitioner and/or care giver will have different skills and abilities.)
- The skill and ability may include knowledge of growth and development, ranges of treatment and the ability to obtain and interpret information regarding patient needs.
- The criteria to deliver age appropriate care shall be in the individual departmental policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Current Oklahoma RN License
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
