- Hillcrest Hospital Cushing is a 99-bed community-owned facility offering 24-hour emergency services, cardiology, general surgery, orthopedics, diagnostic imaging, withdrawal stabilization, wound care and urology.
Learn About a Day In the Life of a Surgical Tech:
- Provide patient care under the direct supervision of the Physician and the Registered Nurse.
- Demonstratesresponsibility and accountability in selecting, assembling, testing, and operating equipment and instruments in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Accountable for performing as a primary scrub person, handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure while applying principles of sterile technique.
- Contribute to expected patient outcomes in accordance with policies, procedures, established standards, and administrative policies.
Job Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program
- Sterile Technique knowledge
BLS certification is required within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- 1 year of Surgical Tech experience.
