- The Operating Room Tech will work under the supervision of the Registered Nurse within the scope of practice in the surgery department.
- Responsible for the transporing of patients to and from the department.
- Responsible for collaborating with anesthesia staff and preparing operating room suites for procedures.
- Cross-trained to assist in turning over surgical suites, maintaining inventory, sterilizing equipment and providing routine maintenance on anesthesia machines.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- One year of experience in healthcare
