: The primary purpose of your job position is to provide primary care to specific residents under the medical direction and supervision of the residents’ attending physicians or the Medical Director of the facility, with an emphasis on assessment, illness prevention and health care management. You will also assist in modifying the treatment regimen to meet the physical and psychosocial needs of the resident, in accordance with established medical practices and the requirements of this state and the policies and goals of this facility.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and progress
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques
- Assist with diagnostic tests and procedures
- Provide health coaching and support to patients in managing chronic conditions
- Perform gastric lavage and other specialized procedures as required
- Administer injections, including dermal fillers, as needed
- Provide infant care, including feeding, bathing, and monitoring developmental milestones
- Assist in acute care settings, such as emergency departments or intensive care units
- Perform esthetic laser treatments under the supervision of a physician
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum 1 years of experience as a registered nurse, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting
- Experience administering injections and performing specialized procedures
- Knowledge of patient assessment techniques and ability to interpret medical data
- Familiarity with electronic medical records PCC systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays if required
