We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Health Information Manager to oversee the management of health information systems and ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and security of patient records. This role is crucial in supporting healthcare providers by ensuring accurate and accessible patient information.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the health information management department, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
- Oversee the maintenance of medical records, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality.
- Implement and manage health information systems to optimize data collection and retrieval processes.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper documentation practices are followed.
- Train and support staff on health information policies, procedures, and systems usage.
- Conduct regular audits of medical records to ensure quality control and adherence to legal requirements.
- Stay updated on changes in healthcare regulations affecting health information management.
- Manage and maintain the Caregiver/CNA/Nursing schedules for the facilities.
- Place orders for supplies for the nursing department.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with medical office operations.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and health information systems is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with healthcare professionals and staff.
