The Position: What Will You Do & How Will We Collaborate?

The Social Impact Program Coordinator plays a key role in supporting, strengthening, and evolving the programs of the Scott Center for Social Entrepreneurship. The Coordinator ensures that the Center’s signature experiences (e.g., workshops, partnerships, projects, events, field studies, and student-driven initiatives) operate smoothly and consistently across both campuses. This role blends program management, relationship-building, logistics coordination, and mission-driven educational support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, equity-centered, entrepreneurial, and energized by working with students, faculty, families, and external partners to advance a shared vision of social impact. Some early mornings, evenings, or extended days may be required during peak program seasons.This individual collaborates closely with the Scott Center Director, the Scott Center Program Leads, and Hillbrook faculty to achieve operational success. The Social Impact Programs Coordinator is based on both the Los Gatos and San José campuses, with consistent cross-campus presence. Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in a collaborative employee culture that is committed to being at the leading edge of JK - 12th grade education.
  • Report to Director of the Scott Center for Social Entrepreneurship
  • Coordinate and support Scott Center programming across both campuses, including workshops, excursions, community events, and assemblies.
  • Manage scheduling, communication, and logistics for student programs, Scott Center team operations, faculty collaborations, and partner engagements.
  • Oversee event planning and execution, ensuring high-quality, mission-aligned experiences for students and families.
  • Track program resources, materials, and documentation to ensure consistency and continuous improvement.
  • Support the collection, archiving, and publishing of student learning artifacts and experiences
  • Track program completion, participation, and requirements to support accurate reporting
  • Support relationships with external community partners, nonprofits, and social impact organizations.
  • Collaborate with Scott Center Program Leads to bring program visions to life
  • Draft communications, program materials, and updates for families, faculty, and partners
  • Support teachers by providing tools, templates, and logistical guidance for social impact programs
  • Support risk management, safety considerations, and policies related to student programs and off-campus experiences.
  • Manage administrative tasks including forms, approvals, data collection, and logistics coordination.
  • Participate in key meetings to represent the operational needs of Scott Center programming
  • Partner closely with Division Heads, Communications, and Advancement when programs intersect with broader school functions


Qualifications

  • Desire and ability to work in a collegial, highly collaborative environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching and learning in a diverse, dynamic, and progressive school community
  • A commitment to anti-racism and demonstrated skill designing equitable and inclusive educational experiences and learning environments that incorporate themes of diversity and justice
  • Strong passion for the role and the school, and an understanding of how the position supports the school’s ability to meet its mission and vision every day
  • Relevant professional experience in program coordination or transferable experience; independent school experience a plus
  • Exceptional project management skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience coordinating programs or events, ideally in an educational or nonprofit setting
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly with students, families, faculty, and external partners
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines
  • Must be able to deal effectively and empathically with people from all types of backgrounds and experiences and in all types of difficult or challenging situations
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to think strategically and creatively
  • Sound judgment related to confidential information, safety, and risk management
  • Proficiency with Google Suite and comfort learning new digital tools. Canva proficiency is a plus.
  • Ability to regularly travel between Los Gatos and San José campuses
