Hillandale Farms is in search of a Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Hillandale Farms, Bozrah CT!

What will you be doing?
- Diagnose and repair Tractors, trailers, including air brakes, tires, suspension, refrigeration units, starters, doors alternators
- Diagnose malfunctions in defective equipment by inspecting and testing using available equipment, resources and chassis charts to determine how to address problems
- Complete proper documentation on work orders
- Maintain established industry DOT standards
- Work efficiently and make repairs within the recommended time frame
- Maintain a clean working environment
- Contribute to helping others and over all team work
- Emergency road calls and repairs on and off site as required.
- Focus on job completion as all jobs are approached with a sense of urgency
- Understand and interpret technical data
- Complete repair orders
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Skills
- Must have a valid driver’s license – CDL Class A license preferred but not required
- High School / Technical Certificate
- Acceptable driving record
- Mechanical experience preferred
- Must acquire and maintain an EPA license
- If required, overnight travel to industry classes
- Must be able to move a minimum of 100 lbs.
- Manual/physical labor
