This is a high-visibility, high-ownership role for someone who leads with intention, communicates directly, and brings a data-informed perspective to every decision. We expect this person to be genuinely curious, energized by building culture and operational excellence across multiple locations, and equally comfortable in a spreadsheet as they are on the floor.Reports To: Co-Owner, Hill Top Hospitality. All General Managers across our properties report directly to this role.What You’ll OwnOperations:Day-to-day oversight of all restaurant operations across all locationsEnsure processes and systems are efficient, consistent, and executed to standardOversee menu costing, end-of-month processes, and P&L accountability in partnership with ownershipManage compliance with health department, DABS, and all relevant regulatory agenciesSource and maintain relationships with the best vendors and partners for our organizationServe as liaison between front-of-house and kitchen leadership to ensure alignment and teamworkData-Informed Financial Oversight:Fluently use available data from Toast, 7shifts, and financial reporting tools to identify trends, flag issues, and drive decisionsReview and act on sales, labor, and COGs data regularly, not just at end of monthBring data-informed recommendations to ownership and the leadership team, not just observationsHold GMs accountable to hitting their numbers and understanding the story behind themIdentify gaps between what the data shows and what is happening on the floor, and close themPeople & Culture:Lead, mentor, and professionally develop General Managers and FOH associates across all propertiesRecruit FOH management and hourly staff for new and existing locationsDevelop and implement onboarding, training, and orientation programsProduce annual leadership team performance reviewsModel and uphold our values in every interaction and decisionBrand & Growth:Collaborate with the leadership team on menu development and brand consistency across all propertiesLead event and catering development, client relationships, and brand growth initiativesIdentify and pursue brand development opportunities (e.g., proprietary products, partnerships)Work with PR and marketing to maintain a relevant, consistent brand presence across platformsWhat We’re Looking ForProven multi-unit restaurant operations experience in a FOH leadership capacityStrong financial acumen including P&L management, COGs, and budgetingComfort with restaurant technology and data tools; experience with Toast and 7shifts is a plusA track record of being data-informed in operational decisions, not just reporting on themA people-first leadership style with a track record of developing high-performing teamsAn established leader with credibility across all levels of an organization, from ownership to hourly staffA collaborative working style that doesn’t rely on hierarchy to get things doneAn entrepreneurial spirit and independent thinker who takes initiative, spots opportunity, and doesn’t wait to be told what to do nextHighly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple locationsGenuine curiosity about the business and a desire to keep learning, whether that’s a new system, a new market, or a better way to develop peopleSomeone who operates from a place of respect, for the work, the team, and the guestGenuine alignment with our values: excellence, respect, collaboration, gratitude, and empathyCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary, commensurate with experienceHealth insurance eligibility after 60 days401(k) with company match (100% on first 3%, 50% on next 3%) after one year3 weeks (15 days) paid time off annuallyAnnual performance reviewEmployee dining discounts across all propertiesHill Top Hospitality is an equal opportunity employer.
