Hill International is seeking a MEP Estimator in Phoenix, Arizona
The Estimator will Interface with the Design Managers, Project Managers, Stakeholders, General Contractors, and the Project Team to support the cost estimates for the Aviation Department. Attend meetings, as requested. Provide professional judgment regarding constructability issues and respond to program management and designer questions. The Estimator prepares cost estimates including construction costs, design costs, administration & inspection, soft cost, and other items such as escalation and contingencies for construction work related to mechanical, electrical and plumbing.

Responsibilities
- Interact with Sky Harbor project team members, vendors, contractors, etc.
- Review estimates for adequacy, uniformity, and completeness.
- Evaluate vendor quotes, bid information, and change orders.
- Prepare detailed breakdown of components and elements of estimates for systems and subsystems.
- Accumulate, evaluate, and document historical cost data for the development of future estimates.
- Review contract documents and modifications to determine scope of work and equitable cost allowance for scope changes.
- Proficient knowledge of construction codes.
- Provide cost estimates based on 30, 60, & 90 percent drawings, conceptual, design development & construction documents stages.
- Provide cost estimates resulting from construction contractor change order requests.
- Provide order of magnitude cost estimates in support of identified cost reduction measures.
- Estimating experience specific to Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing.
- Four-year college degree is preferred or 5 years of experience.
- Infrastructure project experience is required, and with an emphasis on airport and track system projects is preferred.
- Experience using estimating software such as On-Screen Take Off, Success, US Cost, Timberline is required.
- Experience with Micro Soft Suite is required.
- Four-year college degree is preferred.
