Position Summary
We are seeking a detail oriented and organized professional to support our client's title and closing operations. This role is responsible for managing file progression from processing through closing, including gathering required documentation, coordinating with buyers, sellers, lenders, and realtors, and ensuring all closing requirements are met accurately and on time.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the title, settlement, or mortgage industry, with the ability to interpret title work, manage multiple files in a fast-paced environment, and communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners. This position plays a critical role in ensuring smooth, compliant, and efficient closings while providing administrative and operational support as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Process, obtain, and review all documents pertaining to the transaction, to include but not limited to: Sales contract, Abstract/Title Report, Survey, Tax Information, HOA Information, and Payoff Information
- Coordinate with agents, lenders, and/or sellers and buyers to obtain any outstanding information, including payoffs and/or HOA or condominium association information.
- Schedule settlement with all parties
- Correct any existing title problems, e.g. unreleased trusts, Mechanics Liens, Judgments
- Work in conjunction with Settlement Attorney, Underwriter, and Processing team as needed to move transaction to settlement
- Prepare all settlement documents and final Closing Disclosure
- Coordinate with lenders to get loan package, completes information on lenders’ documents, reviews all lender instructions and complies with all terms at or before settlement
- Work in conjunction with post closing team to insure file is balanced
Qualifications & Experience
- High School diploma required/Associates degree or college work preferred
- Seven to ten years of relevant work experience in the title/settlement/mortgage or other related industry
- Familiarity with DC, MD, and VA processing practices
- Qualia software proficiency strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Professional office environment with moderate noise levels
- Regular use of computer, phone, printer, copier, and office software
- Occasional standing, walking, lifting up to 10 pounds
- Extended periods of close computer and document work
Salary : $75,000 - $90,000
