What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenace / Custodian position at HILL EXCAVATING?
The Opportunity:
We're seeking a reliable and proactive Maintenance/Custodian to join our team, ensuring our facility remains clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone. You'll handle daily cleaning tasks and perform minor upkeep, taking pride in creating an orderly space.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
- Perform general cleaning: Dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, window washing, mowing, trimming etc
• Sanitize and disinfect high-touch surfaces, restrooms, and common areas.
• Empty trash and recycling bins.
• Stock restrooms and supply areas with paper products, soap, etc..
• Identify and report minor maintenance issues (light bulbs, leaky faucets) and complete work orders.
• Safely operate and maintain cleaning equipment (buffers, vacuums).
• Conduct routine security checks (locking doors).
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies.
• Respond to spills and accidents promptly.
What You'll Bring (Requirements):
- Proven experience as a Custodian, Janitor, or similar role.
• Keen eye for detail) and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
• Strong communication skills
• Valid Driver's License/Pass a Background Check.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $ $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
