Responsibilities
- Safely operate a straight truck or similar vehicle for route deliveries.
- Load and unload goods efficiently, ensuring all items are secured for transport.
- Navigate assigned routes while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and delivery confirmations.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Utilize a hand truck .
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Previous route delivery experience is a plus, enhancing operational efficiency.
- Valid Class B commercial driving license with experience operating box trucks.
- Proven delivery driver experience with a track record of timely deliveries, ability to use smartphone apps, and/ or web-based or physical maps.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 50 pounds.
- Experience in route driving, ensuring efficient navigation of assigned areas.
