About the Role
Hill Country Community Needs Council is seeking a compassionate, organized, and experienced Program Manager to help lead daily operations and community programs serving individuals and families throughout Gillespie County. Working closely with the Executive Director, the Program Manager oversees staff, client services, volunteer programs, and day-to-day operations while ensuring high-quality service delivery and strong community partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Operations
Support the Executive Director in managing daily operations and organizational initiatives.
Supervise and assist staff; fostering a collaborative and accountable workplace.
Develop and maintain operational policies, procedures, and workflows.
Ensure compliance with agency policies, funding requirements, and confidentiality standards.
Prepare reports and assist with strategic planning and program implementation.
Volunteer & Program Management
Recruit, onboard, train, supervise, and recognize volunteers.
Coordinate volunteer assignments, records, and engagement activities.
Build relationships with community organizations, churches, schools, and businesses to strengthen volunteer participation.
Support outreach events, food distributions, and seasonal assistance programs.
Client Services & Community Relations
Oversee client services to ensure compassionate, timely, and effective assistance.
Coordinate financial and in-kind resources and monitor program quality and compliance.
Maintain strong relationships with clients, volunteers, donors, community partners, and board members.
Represent the organization at community meetings and events, assist with outreach efforts, and support fundraising activities.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience working with low-income individuals, families, or diverse populations.
Leadership and supervisory experience.
Experience coordinating volunteers.
Strong organizational, project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
Ability to work full-time on-site in Fredericksburg, TX.
Preferred
Nonprofit experience.
Knowledge of community resources and human services.
Experience with community outreach and partnership development.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
