We are seeking a Shop/Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have vehicle and tool maintenance knowledge. This role involves assisting with various tasks related to our construction and concrete businesses. Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading: Assisting with loading and unloading trucks, shipments, and deliveries.
- Maintain a clean and organized shop and yard—site cleanup and maintenance: Keep the shop and yard clean and organized, including clearing debris, sweeping, and disposing of waste materials properly.
- Provide excellent customer service to our internal and external customers, including Production, Subcontractors, Vendors, Purchasing, etc.
- Proactive communication to management regarding issues and concerns
- Small construction projects as needed and requested
- Minor truck and vehicle maintenance and repair
- Schedule vehicles for regular maintenance checks
- Small machine and tool maintenance
- Performing physical tasks that may involve lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling objects, materials, and equipment as required by the job or project.
- Keeping track of materials, tools, and equipment to ensure an adequate supply for ongoing projects.
- Read blueprints and drawings to understand project specifications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving
- Ability to work outdoors, performing physical labor duties as needed
- Other duties as assigned to assist with carpentry and concrete business
Qualifications
- Familiarity with operating basic hand tools and power equipment
- Truck and Tool Maintenance and repairs
- Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and equipment
- Experience in residential construction with hands-on framing carpentry, preferably with new home construction
- Great attendance & highly motivated
- Ability to lift 50 independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Valid driver’s license required with a good driving record
- Reliable, dependable, and trustworthy
- Strong work ethic and willingness to take on various tasks as needed
- Forklift experience is desirable
- Skidsteer experience is desirable
- Vehicle maintenance knowledge required
