Job Description: Student Worker, Esports
Department: Information Technology Pay Classification: $12/hr(PT)
Reports To: Esports Director FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Job Summary: Support Daily operations of the Esports department. Assists with broadcasting and streaming matches, mentors students in the Esports arena, and provides assistance with IT projects.
Minimum Required
Education: Must be Enrolled as a full-time student
Must maintain above a 2.0 GPA
Minimum Required
Experience: Experience with Esports and basic knowledge of streaming software
Core Duties and
Required Knowledge: Support daily Esport operations, apply knowledge of streaming platforms, provide guidance in Esports arena, assist in managing broadcasts and live streams of Esports matches.
Strategic Vision and
Program Development: Contribute to the growth and enhancement of Esports by supporting events, fostering student engagement, assist in continuous improvement of broadcasting and IT operations
Collaboration: Work closely with Esports staff, IT department members, and student participants to ensure effective operations, team coordination, and a positive student experience.
Demonstrates a commitment to maintaining a welcoming and safe environment that provides a sense of belonging for all.
Demonstrated Attributes: Dependability, reliability, strong communication and mentoring skills. Ability to work evenings as required. Enthusiasm for Esports and technology.
Other Information: This position may require flexible hours, including evenings and event days.
Physical Requirements: Light work: exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. The use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of force greater than that for light work.
Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
