Companion Care — Part-Time Personal Assistant Michigan Avenue
We are seeking a compassionate, part-time Personal Assistant to support a former senior executive who is experiencing early-onset dementia.
This role is ideal for an empathetic companion who takes genuine satisfaction in being a trusted confidante for someone navigating the early stages of cognitive decline. The right candidate will bring patience, kindness, and the emotional intelligence needed to build real rapport and provide meaningful, consistent support.
Requirements:
- College degree preferred
- Ability to assist with organization and comfortable in an office setting
- Personal experience with the dementia population required
- Strong communication skills and genuine warmth in one-on-one settings
- An interest in popular music and ability to converse
Schedule:
Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM (some flexibility in hours for the right candidate)
Pay: $28.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
