Responsibilities
-
Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish
-
Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly, professional manner
-
Effectively and efficiently provide updates regarding customer parts status
-
Read and interpret the parts catalog when researching or discussing parts
-
Answer phone calls, provide price quotes, and assist customers with parts inquiries
-
Review body shop estimates to verify accuracy of parts and pricing
-
Deliver high-level service to both internal and external customers
-
Pull and fill orders from stock; maintain weekly bin checks to ensure inventory accuracy
-
Notify the Parts Manager of out-of-stock items requiring immediate attention
-
Source out-of-stock parts from outside vendors and submit emergency orders when necessary
-
Ensure all internal parts requests are properly billed to service repair orders
-
Process payments from retail customers or secure credit authorization
Qualifications
-
High school diploma or equivalent (Auto parts sales experience preferred)

Desire to improve and excel in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment

Strong interpersonal and time-management skills

Ability to read and interpret safety, maintenance, and technical documents

Ability to calculate figures including discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
