This role ensures products meet safety standards and reports key issues to senior management. The Supervisor also assists in audits and resolves production concerns through risk assessment and CAPA.ResponsibilitiesOversees product holds and releases, ensuring compliance with quality and food safety policies while managing documentation and approvals.Trains and supervises QA team members, assigns schedules, and works to reduce the frequency of product holds.Performs final CCP verifications, participates in HACCP activities, and supports mock recall exercises for various materials.Leads internal audits and supports third-party, customer, and regulatory inspections, ensuring timely resolution of findings.Investigates quality issues and customer complaints, coordinates with suppliers on raw material concerns, and escalates food safety issues as needed.Qualifications3 years of leadership experience in manufacturing.Bachelor’s degree in biology, food science, or related field.Experience supervising a team.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Skilled in Excel, Word, and Outlook.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.Organized and able to manage time well in fast-paced settings.Able to coach, mentor, and build teams.Works well with cross-functional teams.Flexible and maintains a positive attitude.Can manage deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.SQF PractitionerPCQI
