What You Can Earn
- Earn up to $39.04 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Opportunities for overtime and long‑term career growth.
- Fit and install piping systems made from materials such as steel, galvanized pipe, copper, copper‑nickel, and stainless steel.
- Install valves, fittings, and components following drawings, arrangements, and blueprints.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment to ensure proper fit, alignment, and installation.
- Work in a shipyard environment that may include heights, tight spaces, and changing weather conditions.
- Support production across multiple shifts as needed to meet ship construction schedules.
- Follow Ingalls’ strong safety standards in every task and work area.

What You Bring
- Hands‑on pipefitting experience in industrial, construction, or shipyard environments
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, and system layouts
- Skill in fitting and installing a variety of piping materials and components
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork
- 2 yrs of marine, industrial or petro-chemical pipefitting experience
- Completed high school or equivalent pipefitting technical program with NCCER certification.
High school graduate or equivalent, Tech Master Certification
