What You Can Earn

What You’ll Do

  • Perform abrasive blasting and painting operations using specialized marine coatings.
  • Apply coatings to meet specific contract, specification, and quality requirements.
  • Interpret and follow blasting and painting standards, including:

– Surface preparation and blast profiles

– Mil thickness requirements

– Environmental and application tolerances

  • Execute blasting and painting tasks as directed by supervision across various shipyard environments.
  • Follow all safety procedures that meet — and often exceed — industry standards.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience in industrial or marine blasting and painting
  • Understanding of coating systems, blast profiles, and mil‑thickness requirements
  • Ability to work safely in demanding environments, including heights and confined spaces
  • Strong attention to detail, dependability, and teamwork

Must Have

Requires a minimum 3 or more years experience as a painter/blaster. - Must be able to perform all blast requirements and functions utilizing all applications. - Identify and correct blast and paint deficiencies as required by the contract specifications. Testing will consist of the ability to hook up airlines to the manifold and spray horizontal, vertical and side to side. - Able to sand blast and demonstrate how to utilize each part of the blast equipment.
