HII Mission Technologies is seeking a Data Scientist to join our team in Honolulu, Hawaii. This role focuses on analyzing unstructured and semi-structured data, developing machine learning models, and leveraging modern analytics technologies to deliver strategic solutions. The Data Scientist will apply descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics to support business decision-making and operational efficiency.

What You Will Do:
- Analyze unstructured and semi-structured data, including latent semantic indexing (LSI), entity identification, and complex event processing (CEP).
- Apply analysis algorithms on distributed, clustered, and cloud-based high-performance infrastructures.
- Develop machine learning models to predict behaviors and optimize segmentation.
- Manage, architect, and analyze big data to build insights and data-driven models.
- Evaluate model design and performance through champion/challenger development.
- Use statistical practices to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for predictive insights.
- Build data structures and tools using Python, R, Spark, and other modern technologies.
- Transform data models, charts, and tables into actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Act as the point of contact between data analysts/data engineers and analytics leads.
- Monitor industry trends, best practices, and technology advancements in financial services data modeling.
- Identify areas for improvement in analytics processes and develop mitigation strategies for potential risks.
- The data scientist operates in a data-driven environment, requiring collaboration with analytics teams, technical experts, and business leaders to support strategic decision-making.
What We're Looking For:
- 0 years experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of statistical modeling, data mining, and machine learning techniques.
- Familiarity with modern data science tools, including Python, R, Spark.
- Ability to interpret and present complex data to business leaders and stakeholders.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance.
