The Role
Performs on-the-job training, skills training, and some classroom training in assembly and production areas. Participates in the development and implementation of new training programs and may introduce new processes and sequences for manufacturing areas. Maintains rosters of training progress, examination records, and certification records and may monitor trainees.
- Marine Pipefitter New Hire and Advance skills training
Selected candidates will be required to complete 2 to 3 months train the trainer assignment onsite in Newport News, VA
Must Have
High School/GED and 5 years of additional education and/or experience
Nice to Have
Preferred Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of marine pipefitting skills (Cutting/Fitting of pipe, identification of pipe joint types and reading of drawings).
- Ability to communicate effectively with adult learners and to maintain good relationships with staff and students.
- Flexibility to work different shifts.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism.
Ability to plan, organize and instruct quality trades training.
