 Summary

The Administrator provides strategic and operational leadership for the assisted living facility (41 beds), ensuring residents receive exceptional care in a safe, welcoming environment. This role oversees staffing, compliance, financial stability, and resident satisfaction, serving as the public face of the facility and a key driver of its success.

Essential Functions

  • Lead daily operations across all departments to ensure a clean, safe, and supportive environment for residents.
  • Establish and uphold facility standards of care aligned with resident needs.
  • Develop and manage the facility’s operating budget, approving expenditures within established allocations.
  • Standardize departmental operations and implement clear administrative procedures to ensure accountability and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, company policies, and applicable state, federal, and local laws.
  • Oversee resident care policies and ensure services meet physical, emotional, and social needs, including specialized support and access to community programs.
  • Monitor quality standards across departments through ongoing evaluation and improvement.
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to sustain high occupancy levels (>95%).
  • Review and approve admissions, ensuring appropriate placement and care.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise qualified staff; manage performance reviews, discipline, and professional development.
  • Coordinate staff training and in-service schedules to maintain compliance and excellence.
  • Foster a positive living environment for residents, addressing requests, complaints, and concerns promptly.
  • Report to the licensee on facility operations, providing interpretation of recognized standards of care.
  • Maintain consistent and reliable attendance; travel as required.                                                                             

 Other Functions

  • Enforce company policies and safety procedures.
  • Maintain professional knowledge through continuing education, networking, and participation in industry organizations.

Mental and Physical Demands

  • Ability to manage frequent interruptions, meet deadlines, and prioritize effectively.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use; dexterity required.
  • Ability to assist with resident mobility in emergencies.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Direct supervision of all department heads and oversight of employees within those departments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred; minimum of 15 college or continuing education units in a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in residential care for the elderly, or equivalent education/experience approved by licensing agency.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of care and supervision requirements for assisted living residents.
  • Proven ability to manage employees through coaching, motivation, and development.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to anticipate needs, adapt quickly, and multitask effectively.
  • Experience with budgeting and financial management.
  • Excellence in customer service and resident relations.
  • 40-hour Administrator Certificate (state requirement).
  • Current First Aid Certification.
  • Minimum age is 21 years old

Salary : $70,304 - $80,000
