Highwood USA (located in Tamaqua and Hazleton, PA) is part of Premier Outdoor Living (POL), an entrepreneurial manufacturer that produces products for the outdoor living space. POL consists of 3 unique business, Spa cabinets, HDPE Lumber, and Outdoor Furniture.  We operate 3 facilities, 2 in Pennsylvania and 1 in Wisconsin that support the three business. https://highwood-usa.comhttps://rpilumber.com The Panel Fabrication Technician position will be based in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania Position Summary:Successful Fabrication Technicians- Panel Cell enjoy the challenges of working in a fast paced, team oriented environment while safely completing the processes associated with fabricating quality spa panels beginning with raw material handling, and including pre-assembly, CNC, assembly, quality control, and finishing with packaging.Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following:Prepare parts ensure correct materials in appropriate quantities are staged/supplied to the fabrication panel cells.Able to properly lay up profile material , apply adhesive, and operate pinch rollerOperate the CNC foam cutter(hotwire), CNC panel cutter including basic commands and adjustments, and foam densifierAble to pack, band and wrap finished productKnows and understands quality specifications and completes quality checksAdjusts equipment to maintain adherence to customer specification, quality standards, and productivity standards.Can follow standard work processes and use LEAN tools such as 5S, Poke a Yoke, and visual daily metrics boardsMaintains equipment by performing daily and weekly TPM’sIs able to follow production schedule and make appropriate schedule decisionsAble to read the WO per the schedule and translate into properly fabricated panels or cornersCan print labels and disposition production in IQMSOther duties as assigned Essential FunctionsDemonstrate attention to detail.Demonstrate willingness to learn and advanceMotivated to increase skills and progressAble to multi-task and work in a fast paced environmentIdentify and resolve problems in a timely mannerConsistently looks for ways to improve and promote quality.Accuracy and thoroughness in quality measurement and data recording.Ability and desire to work in a team based environment where decision making is at the team levelRecognize and take action upon what needs to be done with little to no supervisionMotivated to increase skills and progressInterested in company resultsTreat people with respectFollow policies and procedures.Open to new ideas and welcome changeCommitment to working safelyAble to apply team feedback to improve work performance.Prompt and consistent attendance.Appropriately asks for and offers help.Quickly and accurately convert fractions and decimalsAble to quickly and accurately compare color and pattern of products on the basis of visual stimuli to quality control standards.Possess strong Microsoft office suite and keyboarding skillsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
