Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs, answering questions about products and store services.
- Operate cash registers and POS systems accurately to process sales transactions swiftly and securely.
- Manage inventory control by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability using RF scanners and inventory management tools.
- Load and unload shipments using pallet jacks or forklifts, ensuring proper handling of goods while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness of the store environment, including cleaning shelves, packing areas, and customer service stations to promote a safe shopping space.
- Support shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming shipments with warehouse experience skills and updating inventory records accordingly.
- Assist in merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively to maximize sales opportunities and enhance the shopping experience.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining a positive attitude at all times.
- Perform heavy lifting as needed when stocking or organizing supplies, ensuring safety procedures are followed during all physical tasks.
- Support retail sales initiatives by promoting products, upselling when appropriate, and contributing to achieving sales targets.
Experience
- Previous retail store experience or warehouse experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems, RF scanners, pallet jacks, forklifts, and shipping & receiving processes is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for stock control and merchandising tasks.
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages are a plus; bilingual abilities are highly valued for serving diverse customer bases.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking throughout shifts.
- Knowledge of retail math for accurate cash handling and transaction processing is beneficial.
