Tow Truck Driver/Operator

Overview
Highway 30 is searching for a dedicated and skilled Tow Truck/Heavy operator to join our team. Responsible for safely transporting vehicles and providing exceptional service to our clients in various situations. This role requires proficiency in operating different types of tow trucks, including flatbed and manual transmission vehicles. We do heavy tows and accident recovery which requires a cdl to operate the heavy equipment. MUST HAVE 2 YEARS OR MORE TOWING EXPERIENCE & CDL. Heavy experience is preferred but not required. Rotating on call shifts required. Must be able to respond to law enforcement directed towing within required time limit.

Responsibilities

• Operate tow and recovery trucks to transport vehicles safely to designated locations and recover vehicles.
• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles before towing to ensure safety and compliance.
• Use diagnostics skills to assess vehicle conditions and determine appropriate towing methods.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients during stressful situations.
• Manage conflicts professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction while adhering to company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of towing services performed, including vehicle details and locations.
• Report any mechanical issues with trucks promptly.
• Assist with loading and unloading vehicles using forklifts or other equipment as necessary.

Requirements

• Reliable w/quick response time & excellent attendance record.
• Experience operating various types of tow trucks, including flatbed and heavy models.
• Ability to handle conflict management effectively in high-pressure situations.
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required (rotating on call).
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
