Saw Operator (primary role) duties include:
- Handling, measuring and cutting structural steel on vertical and horizontal bandsaws
- Labeling parts
- Keeping track of material inventory
- Assigning lot numbers to new material
- Unload new material from trucks
- Maintain saw - clean, lubricate, change blades, etc.
- Understand, measure and cut angles
- Measure material with tape measure (must be able to read tape measure)
- Drive forklift
- Retrieve material from outside yard
- Keeping a clean and organized work area
Shop Helper (secondary role) duties include:
- Loading/unloading trucks
- Cleaning shop - drive floor sweeper
- Emptying garbages
- Cleaning yard
- Cleaning parts
- Changing light bulbs
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
