Position Overview:HIGHTS is seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Youth Specialist, QP to join our team, serving middle school and high school students and young adults up to 21 years old in Jackson, Macon, and Haywood counties. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on youth and families through a variety of restorative practices including after-school skill-building, community service projects, mediation services, and substance use education.

In addition to direct client support, this position includes a significant administrative component. The Youth Specialist, QP will be responsible for maintaining accurate and timely documentation, including clinical notes, progress updates, and treatment plans, in accordance with agency and compliance standards. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and general administrative coordination to ensure smooth program operations.

As a Youth Specialist, QP at HIGHTS, you will have the ability to design, implement, and evaluate individualized, evidence-based treatment plans incorporating a Cognitive Behavioral Approach through strategies and measurable objectives and outcomes. You will work collaboratively with youth, families, and community partners to promote positive development, enhance coping skills, and support long-term success.

Key Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Minimum of Bachelors Degree in a field other than Human Service and has 4 years of full-time, pre- or post‐bachelor's degree accumulated supervised MH/DD/SA experience with the population served.
  • Bachelors Degree inhuman service field and has two years of full-time, pre- or post-bachelor's degree accumulated supervised MH/DD/SA experience with the population served
  • Strong commitment to serving youth and families in need
  • Experience in mental health, ideally with adolescents
  • Intrinsically motivated and able to take initiative as well as being committed to ethical standards, confidentiality, and professional boundaries.
  • Proficient at Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Google Doc, Sheets, Adobe Acrobat, etc.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and data entry protocols.
  • Excellent interpersonal and active listening skills to build rapport and trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interactions and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Skilled in clinical documentation, progress note writing, and maintaining accurate, timely records that meet agency and compliance standards.
  • Ability to manage caseloads, scheduling, and reporting requirements efficiently.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $38, $45,000.00 per year
