Employee Benefits: Enrollment Specialist / Technical Assistant
In this role you'll be a key part of our Employee Benefits client management team by handling administration, carrier communications, data management, and other service tasks. Compensation & Benefits for this role include:
- Hourly pay or Salary based on experience

To be successful in this role you’ll need to have:
- At least 1 year of employee benefits experience preferred
- Basic understanding of plans including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability
- Organizational skill and detail-oriented personality
- Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to use computers and software: prior experience with Applied Epic, Employee Navigator, and EB carrier portals is a BIG plus, but not required.
In this role you’ll be expected to:
- Process employee enrollments, changes, and terminations with insurance carriers
- Troubleshoot benefit administration system and carrier integration issues
- Process COBRA notices and qualifying events with third-party vendors
- Submit, track, and provide status updates on disability claims
- Maintain accurate client and employee information in the system
- Update employee communication and enrollment materials
- Help with carrier service requests and administrative issues
- Update and maintain Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs) and related documents
- Provide backup to the Client Management team as needed

What is the location and what are the work hours of this role?
- Candidates must be based in Michigan. Hybrid in-office schedules or Fully Remote are possibilities depending on your location.
