Job Description:
The Production Planner / Scheduler will assist and facilitate efficient and accurate manufacturing execution and performance results for the Huntsville manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Production and Logistics to schedule and prepare Work Orders to meet internal and external demand. This responsibility entails reviewing ERP system transactions, inventory levels, and coordinating with our logistics manager to identify and resolve issues throughout the supply chain to meet and exceed customer expectations. Managing multiple orders and anticipating the needs of our customers of high mix assemblies is the top focus for this high visibility position.

Responsibilities:
· Assists in managing planning processes for Assembly jobs by setting priorities, tracking status, and delivering timely information operations, quality and logistics.
· Maintains the production schedule, shop floor level loading and material kitting activities to achieve 100% on time delivery within rapidly changing high mix order environment
· Confirmation of material availability, as well as delivery date management and support of teams contributing to these key business processes
· Ability to manage / monitor dozens of orders in parallel throughout all aspects of the organization
· Monitor material flow, identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues to root-cause and implement corrections
· Basic understanding of part / assembly drawings and Bill of material and alternate usage
· Maintain high level of organization and accuracy of items within ERP system
· Understand and adhere to ISO and Quality policies
· Other duties as required
· Performs all other related duties as assigned by leadership
Preferred Qualifications:
· Associates degree with a minimum of three years of relevant experience. Or a Minimum of 5-7 years progressive experience either in production planning or in production control, support.
· Experience as a planner or production control support in MFG environment preferred
· Experience with customer facing communications, status updates, reporting, change requests
· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), Adobe, and social media platforms (Strong Excel background is a plus).
· Manufacturing experience or familiarity with SMT (Surface Mount Technology) a plus.
