Position Summary

HighRes Biosolutions is seeking a highly experienced Operations ERP Subject Matter Expert (SME) to serve as the Business Process Owner (BPO) for our Microsoft Dynamics 365 environment. This is a critical, hands-on role at the intersection of operations and technology, responsible for ensuring D365 reflects accurate, optimized business processes across Planning, Procurement, Warehouse Management, and Shipping.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned D365 power user who deeply understands day-to-day operations workflows and can translate that knowledge into system improvements, training programs, data integrity standards, and compelling business cases. This person will function as the primary bridge between the Operations team and IT, driving both tactical support and strategic system enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

ERP Ownership & Issue Resolution

• Serve as the primary Operations BPO for D365, owning system issues from triage through resolution.
• Partner with IT to investigate, diagnose, and resolve D365 functional issues; resolve lower-complexity issues independently.
• Document and maintain operational process flows within D365, ensuring alignment between system configuration and actual business practice.
• Monitor system health and proactively identify process breakdowns or configuration gaps.
  
  

Training & User Enablement

• Design and deliver D365 training for Operations end-users across Planning, Procurement, Warehouse, and Shipping functions.
• Create and maintain role-based training materials, SOPs, and quick reference guides.
• Support onboarding of new operations staff and provide ongoing refresher training as processes or system features evolve.
  
  

Business Cases & Enhancement Requests

• Identify gaps between current D365 capabilities and operational needs; develop structured business cases for system enhancements.
• Prioritize and submit enhancement requests, working collaboratively with IT and key stakeholders to define requirements, expected outcomes, and ROI.
• Participate in D365 update cycles, evaluating new features and wave releases for operational applicability.
  
  

Data Integrity & Mass Data Uploads

• Own data integrity across all Operations modules in D365, establishing and enforcing data governance standards.
• Plan, execute, and validate mass data uploads for Operations, including item master updates, vendor data, BOMs, site/warehouse configurations, and opening balances.
• Develop and maintain data cleansing procedures and conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Serve as the approver for bulk data changes that impact operational records in D365.
  
  

Process Expertise — Planning, Procurement, Warehouse & Shipping

• Apply deep functional knowledge across Operations disciplines:
• Planning — MRP/MPS runs, demand forecasting, supply planning, safety stock management
• Procurement — purchase order lifecycle, vendor management, receiving, three-way match
• Warehouse — inbound/outbound flows, inventory control, locations, transfers, cycle counting
• Shipping — outbound order fulfillment, carrier integration, packing, shipment confirmation
• Drive standardization and continuous improvement of operational processes within D365.
  
  

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management — this is a firm requirement; candidates without D365 experience will not be considered.
• Demonstrated proficiency as a D365 power user across one or more of the following modules: Supply Chain Management, Procurement & Sourcing, Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, or Transportation Management.
• One of the following experience profiles (combined experience is strongly preferred):
• 3–5 years in a dedicated ERP SME, BPO, or functional analyst role within an operations environment, OR
• 5–10 years in a Buyer, Planner, or Operations Coordinator role with significant D365 system ownership responsibilities.
• Proven ability to manage mass data uploads, data validation, and data cleansing in D365.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes and how they map to ERP system design.
• Experience writing business cases, functional requirements, or enhancement requests for ERP system improvements.
• Excellent communication skills — able to translate technical system concepts for operational users and operational needs for IT teams.
• PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Combined experience: both a hands-on operational role (Buyer, Planner, Warehouse Lead) AND a system ownership or ERP support role.
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 certification in Supply Chain Management or related module.
• Familiarity with D365 data entity framework, data management workspace, or Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Automate).
• Experience in a regulated or life sciences manufacturing environment.
• Exposure to D365 wave or batch job configuration, alerts, and workflow automation.
  
  

WORK ARRANGEMENT

This role requires a minimum of three (3) days onsite per week at our Beverly, MA headquarters. Onsite presence is essential for hands-on collaboration with the Operations team, floor-level process observation, and direct training delivery. Additional onsite days may be required during go-live events, training rollouts, or critical system issues.

Salary Range: $90,000-$120,000
