The Accounting Operations Specialist is a key member of the accounting team, responsible for assisting with the management of the company’s financial records. This role involves performing routine accounting activities such as maintaining ledgers, preparing financial reports, and ensuring the accuracy of financial documents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handles the day-to-day postings received through mail, credit cards, ACH, wires, and remittances.
- Provide support in issuing cost checks and entering the financial entries related to expenses incurred by our vendors and associated legal partners.
- Help with the weekly remittances that are due to our clients.
- Assist in balance reconciliation with our clients to maintain financial accuracy.
- Maintain financial records and general ledgers for the company.
- Prepare bank deposits and help reconcile bank statements.
- Provide clerical support to the accounting department, including filing, data entry, and document management.
- Respond to accounting inquiries from staff and clients.
- Support the CFO with ad-hoc projects and reporting requirements.
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Previous experience as an Accounting Operations Specialist or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with bookkeeping practices and accounting software platforms.
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding financial information.
Salary : $17 - $20
