Monitor Technician – Full Time Days (12-Hour Shift)

Position Summary
Under the general guidance of physicians and providers, the Monitor Technician performs EKG procedures and provides continuous cardiac rhythm monitoring. This role is responsible for accurate rhythm interpretation and timely communication of changes in patient condition.
- Full Time
- 12-hour shifts
- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Rotating weekends and holidays as required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No license required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Critical thinking skills
- Decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms for assigned patients
- Perform EKG procedures as ordered
- Notify nursing staff and providers promptly of rhythm changes
- Maintain accurate documentation of monitoring activities
- Receive patients, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort
- Maintain monitoring equipment and supplies
- Organize work area and assist with scheduling to maintain patient flow
- Perform other duties as assigned
