Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms with sterile instruments and supplies, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
- Assist oral surgeons during surgical procedures by managing dental instruments, suctioning, and providing necessary materials promptly
- Take digital dental radiographs, including 3D scans, while ensuring proper positioning and safety measures in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Manage patient flow by greeting patients, updating medical records in EMR systems and verifying insurance information
- Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort throughout procedures to ensure safety and address any concerns immediately
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including medical history updates, procedural notes, and coding for billing purposes
- Support the oral surgeon with chairside assisting tasks
Experience
- Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with a focus on oral surgery or related specialties
- Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding practices for accurate recordkeeping
- Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, anatomy relevant to oral surgery procedures, and radiation safety protocols
- Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including handheld Nomad and 3D scanners safely and effectively
- Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist or assistant to coordinate patient care seamlessly

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
