Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Maintenance Team Member located in Silver Spring, MD. The Maintenance Team Member will perform tasks such as routine property repairs, preventative maintenance, apartment unit turnovers, and responding to service requests. Additional responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the community, assisting with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repairs, and supporting groundskeeping efforts. The role requires a commitment to delivering excellent service to residents and ensuring the property remains in optimal condition.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical repairs
- Skills in general maintenance tasks, including painting, carpentry, and appliance repairs
- Ability to complete preventative maintenance and property inspections
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to task management
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Team-oriented attitude with the ability to work collaboratively and independently
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in maintenance or technical fields are a plus
- Prior experience in property maintenance or a related field is preferred
- Availability to participate in on-call rotations and support emergency maintenance requests
