Description

Christian Brothers Cabinets is looking for an experienced Cabinet Builder who will play a crucial role in crafting high-quality custom cabinets. Qualified candidates must be able to work individually, and as part of a team, with minimal supervision. Our Cabinet Builders use a combination of traditional woodworking and state-of-the-art tools to complete orders throughout each week. We are seeking a motivated builder to perform high quality fabrication. They should be dependable, bear excellent attention to detail and can comfortably work with both hand-powered tools (drills, routers, saws, etc.) and large industrial equipment (CNC machine, Razor Gauge, shapers, belt and drum sanders, large planers, jointers, Edge Bander, etc.). Reading blueprints and cut lists is highly preferred. Christian Brothers Cabinets is part of a family of Highmark Companies.

Pay: $20 -$25 per hour depending on experience

Responsibilities

• Work Safely, keep shop work areas clean and organized.
• Assemble cabinets efficiently.
• Glue, fit and clamps parts together to form a complete cabinet using clamps or clamping machine.
• Sands and scrapes surfaces to prepare cabinet components for finishing.
• Matches materials for color and grain.
• Cut and assemble face frames to be applied to cabinet boxes.
• Fit out finished cabinets; assemble drawer boxes, install hinges, drawer slides, etc.
• Assemble doors and sand them for final finishing.
• Help in other departments within the shop as needed (i.e., edge banding, taping, cleaning, sand sealing).

Qualifications

• Must be to work on time.
• Ability to take direction from and follow instructions of leads and management.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to understand quality and production standards.
• Willingness to learn and understand Christian Brothers’ production specifications.
• Experience with large machinery, CNC, experience helpful, but not required.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs at a time; help from fellow builders is there when needed.
• Must be able to stand 100% of your day.
• Prior carpentry experience, or custom woodworking skills are preferred.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and shop drawings is highly preferred.
