What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL Class A Driver/Rigger position at Highline Riggers?
Crane and Rigging Co. looking for a motivated, organized and hard-working individual who is a CDL-A driver. Will need to move equipment and materials within CT and the surrounding states. Will need to load and unload when necessary. Will need to perform rigging activities and work with cranes as needed.
Responsibilities
● Load trailers, secure load for transporting.
● Rig equipment using cranes and or rigging equipment
● Control movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces
● Responsible for personal safety and safety of co-workers
● Responsible for slings, cables, straps, and the crane prior to lifting operations
● Participates in safety meetings and other rigger safety programs
● Assures that lifting gear is inspected prior to use
● Operates equipment to hoist materials and equipment in a safe and efficient manner
● Extremely safety conscious with an outstanding safety record.
● Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads, in order to ensure safety of workers and materials.
Requirements & Skills
● Forklift License a plus
● Minimum OSHA-10
● CDL-A License- Must have at least (2) years of actual driving experience with tractor trailers.
● Experience with Overweight and Oversized Loads preferred.
● Must be willing to travel and work overtime
● Must pass drug test and background check
● Must be able to lift 100 lb
