Job Summary: Therapy Assistants in Radiation Oncology work directly with the physicians, advanced practitioners, nurses, radiation therapists, and team to deliver quality patient care with coordinated communication and assessments.
Job Duties / Responsibilities:
- All responsibilities and duties assigned to Radiation Oncology Therapy Assistant I.
- Complies with infection control procedures with Cidex and Autoclaving devices.
- Ability to provide general information to patients on practice policies and procedures, up to and including new patient information, procedures, physical preps, and minor surgery information at the discretion of providers.
- Attends required meetings and in-services and participates in a constructive manner as part of a cooperative organization.
- Performs related tasks as required by supervisor/providers.
- Must be willing to cover either facility when needed.
