Highlands Pharmacy is hiring an experienced Pharmacy Technician to specialize in compounding medications in an aseptic environment for the patients of Highlands Oncology Group. Experience with IVs preferred, but not required as we will train the right person to be a part of this exceptional team.
Our pharmacies are open Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm and limited hours on Saturday. We are closed on Sunday and all major holidays.
JOB SUMMARY: The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for working with and supporting the Pharmacist as part of the patient’s care team. This person helps to interpret and prepare all prescriptions in accordance with the prescriber’s directions, federal and state regulations, and company policies. The Pharmacy Admix Technician appropriately uses aseptic techniques to mix and dispense medications, including chemotherapy, with oversight from the Pharmacist. The Technician will also assist in retail pharmacy as part of this dynamic team. The Pharmacy Admix Technician reports directly to the Pharmacy Manager.
