What are the responsibilities and job description for the Survey Crew Chief position at Highlands Engineering & Surveying?
Duties:
Highlands Engineering is currently seeking an experienced Survey Crew Chief. Applicant must be responsible, highly motivated, and a detail oriented individual interested in joining our team. Applicant must be able to work in a team environment and supervise other members on the survey crew. Preferred experience performing boundary, ALTA, topographic, oil and gas, transportation, and construction surveys utilizing the latest equipment and surveying technology. The position has opportunity for advancement for a motivated individual willing to grow with the changing skills and technology required of a Land Surveyor.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 0-10 years of relevant experience.
- Must have a High School Diploma (Minimum).
- Must be able to follow directions and assure all procedures and policies are followed.
- Must have good mathematical skills.
- Must have good computer and data collector skills.
- Knowledge of Trimble survey equipment. (GPS, Robotics, Total Stations, Levels, and Data Collectors).
- Knowledge of Trimble Business Center and Trimble Access data collection software.
- Must have good communication and organizational skills.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to pass a driving record check.
- Pre-employment and random drug screens.
- Ability to travel to jobs sites.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and walk long distances over uneven terrain.
