Job Overview
Highlands Treehouse Retreat is hiring a full-time Groundskeeper / Property Caretaker to oversee all daily operations of our boutique vacation rental property in the mountains of Highlands, NC. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who loves hospitality, takes pride in a well-run property, and enjoys variety in their day-to-day work.
On-site housing may be available for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Oversee property cleaning, turnovers, and quality inspections
- Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and vendor relationships
- Manage reservations and guest communications across booking platforms (Airbnb, VRBO, etc.)
- Drive revenue through upsells and guest add-on packages
- Be available on call for urgent property or guest issues
- 7 days and On-site position 2pm-6pm (28 hours minimum on low season and on call) - hours will be adjusted on day to day basis
Requirements
- 2 years in property management, hospitality, or operations
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience with vacation rental platforms preferred
- Social media savy a plus
- Flexible schedule including weekends; on-call availability
- Must be reliable, proactive, and guest-focused
