Job Summary
Job Summary
Under direction of the Principal, the High School Teacher will instruct in one or more core academic subject areas and provide related services to students. Candidates must have a strong desire to work with students to help them achieve their academic, personal, and professional goals. Position requires standards-based lesson plans and curriculum planning with a team; participation in site, and professional development meetings; developing and implementing lessons; keeping accurate records and grades; and, attendance at some afterschool meetings/events. Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s Degree Required. - Possess or qualify for a valid California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Physical Education required. - Meets the State's Basic Skills Requirement established by the CTC. - At least three (3) years working or volunteering in an education-related field (e.g., tutor, substitute) preferred. - Any combination of education and/or experience working in Adult Education related activities or an education setting is preferred; previous industry experience is desirable. - This position requires regular travel between sites. A valid driver’s license, personal automobile, and proof of insurance required.
