Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childcare Educator to join our team in providing a nurturing and engaging environment for children of various ages. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood development and experience working with children, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. This role involves creating a safe, educational, and fun atmosphere that supports each child's individual needs and growth. The Childcare Educator will collaborate with families and team members to promote positive behaviors and developmental milestones, ensuring high-quality care and learning experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
  • Supervise children during playtime, meals, nap times, and educational activities to ensure safety at all times.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment following health and safety regulations.
  • Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation and respect among children.
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and any concerns.
  • Assist with diapering, feeding, and basic caregiving needs for infants and toddlers.
  • Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing inclusive care.
  • Follow all licensing requirements, policies, and procedures related to childcare standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training related to childhood development, first aid, classroom management, and special education techniques.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or classroom settings.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain certification is required.
  • Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
  • Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while maintaining a nurturing environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt activities based on individual children's needs and developmental stages.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 40.0 per week
