Event Sales Manager
Highlands Alehouse is looking for a part-time Events Manager to lead the planning and execution of private events, from intimate welcome parties to winter aprés buyouts to large weddings and corporate events. You’ll be the main point of contact.
What you’ll do
- Interface with clients to understand their vision, budget and needs
- Respond to event inquiries and turn them into bookings
- Give tours and put together proposals and menus with our chef and team
- Be the client’s main contact from first call through event day
- Build new and grow existing relationships with local planners, hotels, and concierges
- Help with contract creation
- Prepare event timelines and BEO’s
- Coordinate with kitchen, service, and vendor teams
- Oversee setup, run events on the day, and handle any issues as they come up
- Follow up with clients after each event and build lasting relationships
- Help grow our events business and contribute to our social media, including event photos for Instagram
What we’re looking for
- 2 years of experience in event planning, hospitality or a related field
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the skills to improve existing systems
- Warm, polished communication with clients and staff
- Quick to follow up and easy to communicate with
- Calm under pressure and comfortable making quick decisions
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required
- Must be a Roaring Fork Valley Resident
- Day of management for events is not required, but is strongly preferred
- Strong computer literacy and organization
