What are the responsibilities and job description for the Meals Driver- Meals on Wheels position at Highland Valley Elder Services?
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Meals Driver to join our Meals on Wheels program. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, experience in delivery operations, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. This role involves safely transporting meals to community members while adhering to all traffic and safety regulations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries while performing a safety check on older adults receiving meals.
Routes are available out of our Amherst and Northampton locations. Drivers will deliver meals and return coolers/heaters to the office, typically taking around 2 hours per day, from approximately 10am-12pm. We are looking for per-diem drivers, you can choose when and how often you work, but we are hoping for at least one/two days per week of availability.
Mileage is reimbursed at the federal rate of $0.76 per mile, and the pay is $18.50 per hour. You must have your own personal vehicle.
Pay: $18.50 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 10.0 per week
